My Story

Ubiaja, Nigeria·Age 10

My journey as a baker began at the age of 10 in our family bakery in Ubiaja, Nigeria — a bakery called Ofure, meaning "peace" in the Esan language. I grew up surrounded by the rhythm of dough being mixed, shaped, and baked, a daily ritual that shaped my hands and my imagination long before I understood its meaning.

London, England·Age 30

At 30, I left Nigeria for London, carrying those early lessons with me. Baking became both my livelihood and my anchor, sustaining me through the challenges of building a new life. For several years, I worked as a baker in London, refining my craft and deepening my respect for slow, intentional bread-making.

Milngavie, Scotland·Today

Today, settled in Scotland with my family, I continue that lineage through xSanitaz Vitality Bakes and the Ofure Heritage Series — a revival of my parents' bakery and the values it embodied. Every loaf and roll is a continuation of the story that began in that small bakery in Ubiaja: a story rooted in peace, memory, culture, and a lifelong devotion to the craft.
